Abstract:On the afternoon of April 2, Hao Xu, director of the Institute of Fishery Machinery and Instruments, Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, was invited by Professor Dapeng Li from Fisheries College of Huazhong Agricultural University. Researcher Hao Xu made use of the online platform to carry out academic reports for more than 200 teachers and students of Fisheries College and Engineering College. The wonderful report content aroused strong response and warm communication among the online teachers and students.

The report was presided over by Professor Dapeng Li of our college, more than 200 teachers and students of Fisheries College and Engineering College participated in this aerial academic online report. The report also attracted the participation of experts from the Institute of Aquatic Affairs of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Ocean University and researchers from some local fisheries departments.
Researcher Hao Xu launched this report from three aspects, namely, the demand of fishery industry transformation, the status quo of technological development and the suggestions of scientific and technological development. He pointed out that the so-called aquaculture facilities, is a modern fishery way of using engineering techniques to make production of aquatic products efficiently in a relatively controlled environmental conditions. In China, fishery, especially aquaculture industry, is the main guarantee for the supply of animal protein. It will be an urgent task to meet people's increasing demand for aquatic products. At present, pond farming, factory farming and mariculture can provide quality assurance for the supply of aquatic products, which is the development mode of modern fishery of high quality. The high quality development of fishery, green breeding and "deep blue fishery" will become the trend of fishery transformation and development in the future. At present, there is an urgent need in China in developing fishery mechanization equipment to reduce labor intensity, using ecological engineering technology to control the breeding environment and developing specialized platforms and Marine equipment to develop profound Marine culture.
Then Hao Xu introduced the development status of aquaculture technology in China from the aspects of pond facility aquaculture, factory aquaculture, far-reaching mariculture and intelligent aquaculture. At present, China has gradually established the pond ecological engineering and aquaculture information system, and the national large freshwater fish industry technology system has realized the construction of green and efficient aquaculture mode. Hao Xu also looked into the future development of aquaculture technology in China. In his opinion, it is necessary to continue to study the mechanized operation equipment, intelligent breeding equipment and efficient breeding facilities and modes of facility breeding, to transform technology into parameters, parameters into processes, and processes into projects, and finally to realize the factorization, intensification and intelligentization of fishery.
Xu also discussed the hot issues of fishery with the teachers and students through cloud platform and exchanged views and ideas. When asked to the question “traditional farming mode and equipment in solve the difficulties in breeding at present are difficult”, he think we should build up the idea of industrialization, and every culture zones should have breeding mode suitable for local characteristics, adapting to both the ecological environment and economic development. When asked about the prospects and profits of conventional bulk breeds, the researcher said that bulk breeds are essential to the protection of the fishery industry. The profit of cage farming is relatively large, but in the case of natural disasters such as typhoons, there will be "no income". High risk can bring high returns. Some students are concerned about the impact of coVID-19 on the industry, but he believes that the epidemic will not have a great impact on China's fishing industry.
Under the epidemic environment, the College of Fisheries made full use of the Internet + means to carry out academic and cultural exchanges, and teachers and students of the college actively participated in the "aerial academic lecture", which achieved good results.
